Conclusion and Next Steps
Wrap up the report with a reflection on the event’s success and any recommendations for future workshops:
- Achievements: The event successfully launched the FabConnectHer MentHer Community at Creative Spark Enterprise FabLab, bringing together 24 participants — mentors, mentees, and role models — in a structured and interactive setting. The Challenge → Turning Point → Impactrole modelling format effectively communicated real-world STEAM journeys, while the hands-on mentoring breakout gave participants tangible experience of the digital tools available through the FabConnectHer platform.
- Recommendations: Continue using the Challenge → Turning Point → Impactstorytelling structure for future role modelling sessions, as it provides a clear and relatable narrative framework. Ensure all role models receive a clear briefing and timing guidance ahead of the event to maintain a smooth flow between back-to-back presentations. Increase promotion through school and college networks to grow the mentee cohort in future iterations.
- Next Steps: Participants will be invited to join the FabConnectHer MentHer Community and register on the digital peer-to-peer mentoring platform. Follow-up communications to be sent to all attendees with links to the Resource Repository and details of upcoming FabConnectHer events or related.
