Fab & Fierce Challenge

7th of February – 14th of February

Create something. Tell her story. Share it.

The Fab & Fierce challenge invites girls and women to celebrate a woman who made an impact in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts or Mathematics) by turning her story into a creative prototype or digital project.

What do you have to do?

  1. Pick your heroine!
  2. Research her story and legacy
  3. Create something inspired by her
  4. Present your project in a short video

Visit your local Fab Lab or Makerspace to develop your prototype, get inspired or ask for help! Don’t know where to find your Fab Lab, check out the Fab Lab map on the website.

Share your video via this webpage by 14 February to be in the running for a €50 gift voucher.
For more details, see the Fab & Fierce Challenge document.

For Fab Labs & Makerspaces:

Open your doors for the Fab & Fierce challenge

The challenge runs from the 7th February till the 14th of February. You can choose to open up your doors for a day during this week, two days or the whole week.

Welcome girls and women to your Fab Lab, support them in creating something inspired by their female role model, and help them bring their ideas to life.

You can use the Fab & Fierce poster and social media post to share your participation in your community. Simply adjust the dates and location to fit your Fab Lab. For more information, see the Fab & Fierce Challenge document.
