Welcome to the FAB Edu Forum

The FAB Edu Forum captures FabConnectHer’s exploration and connection. of the Fab Lab education landscape across Europe. Each of the four areas below offers a different lens on our collective work designed to inform and inspire your own practice, wherever you are.

  • Through a deep mapping exercise, the project identified 100 Fab Labs and Maker Spaces, creating a living directory that will continue to grow
  • A virtual tour series opened the doors of partner Fab Labs in Ireland, Spain, Iceland, and Portugal, sharing best practices by showing how different spaces and teams approach their work. Please add your tour to this series.
  • A programme of virtual events
  • And the Fab & Fierce Challenge invited girls and women to celebrate a female STEAM heroine by researching her story, creating a creative prototype or digital project inspired by her, and presenting it in a short video, producing 16 remarkable projects from across the network.

Together, these results paint a picture of what inclusive STEAM education looks like in practice, across very different countries, communities, and learning environments.

For direct connection with other mentors and educators, including community profiles, peer support, and ongoing collaboration, head to the MentHer Community.
