Portugal Workshop

Introduction
As part of Work Package 3 (WP3), we organised a Role Modelling Workshop at VIVA Lab Porto on 27 October 2025. The event aimed to inspire girls and young women by showcasing female role models in STEAM fields, sharing personal career journeys, and encouraging participants to explore opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
A total of 14 participants attended the workshop, and 8 participants completed the evaluation questionnaire, representing a response rate of 57%.
Overall Satisfaction
The feedback received was highly positive. Participants rated the value of the event on a scale from 1 to 5, resulting in an average score of 4.4 out of 5. This indicates a high level of satisfaction and demonstrates that participants considered the workshop relevant and beneficial.
Participants also reported a strong likelihood of applying what they learned in their studies, careers, or future mentoring activities, with an average score of 4.6 out of 5.
Most Valuable Aspects of the Workshop
When asked about the most valuable part of the event, participants highlighted:
- Listening to the experiences and personal stories of women working or studying in STEAM fields;
- The opportunity to hear authentic testimonies and career journeys;
- The exchange of ideas and discussions around learning and personal development;
- Inspirational content, including presentations and videos featuring female role models;
- The sharing of experiences between speakers and participants.
Several respondents specifically mentioned that hearing about the challenges, persistence, and achievements of women in different STEAM careers was particularly motivating.
